Senior Construction Manager

Clover Leaf is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the construction of a new solar manufacturing plant. This position offers a 14-month guaranteed lead time, with the potential for integration into the company depending on performance. The Senior Project Manager will take charge of the base build phase and, if successful, may transition into managing subsequent phases of the project. This role requires a proactive leader who can foresee potential challenges and drive innovative solutions.

Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager will serve as the owner’s representative, overseeing the design, construction, and overall management of the solar manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must have significant experience in schedule review and management, particularly with Primavera P6, and be able to push contractors while managing scheduling and estimating. The role also includes invoice reviews and approvals to ensure financial accuracy and project alignment.

The ideal candidate should possess experience in the semi-conductor industry, which closely parallels the demands of this solar manufacturing project. A college degree in construction management or a comparable field is desired, along with 10+ years of relevant experience. This is a fast-paced role, requiring a candidate who can hit the ground running and effectively manage all aspects of the project from day one.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the base build phase of a solar manufacturing plant, with potential to transition into the next phase based on performance. Serve as the owner's representative, ensuring that the project is on track with design, construction, and scheduling goals. Conduct schedule review and management using Primavera P6, ensuring that project timelines are adhered to and potential delays are mitigated. Push contractors to meet project deadlines, provide accurate scheduling, and estimate project needs effectively. Manage the project budget, including invoice reviews and approvals to ensure financial control. Identify potential project risks, future issues, and innovative solutions to keep the project running smoothly. Work closely with cross-functional teams and contractors to ensure alignment and smooth progress throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is strongly preferred. 10+ years of experience in project management, particularly in large-scale construction or semi-conductor environments. Proven experience with Primavera P6 for scheduling and project management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to hit the ground running and manage all aspects of a large-scale construction project. Ability to anticipate future challenges, find innovative solutions, and keep contractors on task. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on proactive management and problem-solving.
