Senior Construction Project Manager

Together, we develop solutions that are not only best in the world, but best for the world. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a senior-level Construction Project Manager in our Orange, California office. This position will manage municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects during any phase of design and/or construction whether it’s a new building/facility, full modernization, or renovation. Past experience managing both construction input during design phase, construction phase, and closeout as part of an integrated Program/CM team to complete large infrastructure programs with budgets ranging from $25M to $100M and beyond project life cycle. **Job Responsibilities include:** + Manages and coordinates moderate to highly complex projects. + Keep projects on schedule and within budget. + Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as clients and agencies, to gather and disseminate information effectively. + May manage any phase of project (from beginning to close out). + Proactively manages timeliness and resources to prevent miscommunication and delays. + Oversee validation of products and materials ordered for projects to verify the accordance to the specifications. + Monitor and assess construction performance while recording construction activities to ensure compliance with construction documentation requirements. + Coordinate with the General Contractor and ensure Scheduling of all tests and inspections required by the Contract Documents or municipal authorities and arrange for the delivery of test and inspection reports to the Owner and Architect/Engineer. + Review punch list submitted by others and verify that items on the punch list have been completed and corrected prior to recommending substantial completion to the Owner. + Monitor construction work progress, process field construction documentation (RFI and submittal validation and logging), also provide engineering support and coordination of construction field activities with inspectors. + Coordinate with the general contractor on required meetings and attend all site-based meetings. + Feasibility & constructability reviews of design submittals. + CPM Project Schedule review and critical path enforcement and understand project scheduled activities. + Shop drawing and construction submittal review. + Cost tracking and manage the Project budget. + Change Management including settlement and negotiation. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + BS/BA degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field with +10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of work experience and or education in construction management or another similar role. **Preferred Requirements** + Preferred candidate to be located in Southern California and have experience in the local engineering and/or construction market. + Previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects. + Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills. + Familiar with construction and project management software programs. + Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills. **Additional Information** + Sponsorship is not available for this position. + Relocation is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
