Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up construction projects for school buildings across the Southern and Central New Jersey areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale educational construction projects, ideally with additional expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, budgeting, scheduling, and submitting proposals. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a permanent hire position with projects cycles ranging from 18-24 months Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of ground-up construction projects for school buildings. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Oversee the design, installation, and integration of MEP systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and school district requirements. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and school district representatives to ensure project goals are met. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or budgets. Prepare and submit detailed project proposals, including cost estimates and timelines. Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits. Lead project meetings and coordinate communication between all project stakeholders. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on ground-up builds for educational facilities. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices. Expertise in MEP systems, including design, installation, and integration. Experience with project sizes of $20 Million and above Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar). Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and school district requirements. Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).
