SENIOR CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULER
Position Summary: The Senior Scheduler plays a crucial role within the project team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules to ensure the timely and efficient completion of construction projects. This position serves as a senior-level expert in scheduling methodologies and tools, providing valuable insights and guidance to project teams and stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all relevant tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with project managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for scheduling purposes.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays, proposing solutions to mitigate risks.
• Implement best practices for schedule optimization, resource leveling, and critical path analysis.
• Communicate schedule updates and changes to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Provide regular reports on project schedule performance, highlighting areas of concern and proposing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Mentor and train junior schedulers on scheduling techniques and software usage.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: 4-year bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in project scheduling, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• 7+ years of combined experience in scheduling, construction, engineering, etc.
• Project Engineering and/or field experience is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address scheduling conflicts effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in scheduling tasks and resources.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in key software packages used in scheduling and construction management, including Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Smartsheet, Procore, Navisworks, Bluebeam, etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices.
Reports To:
The Senior Scheduler reports to the Schedule Lead, Schedule Manager, or another designated manager within the project management team.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
As a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental and vision, and the company matching 401K plan, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods. Compensation for this position is salary $120,000 - $145,000, based on experience, background, and skills.
