Role OverviewTo support our rapid growth, we seek an energetic, driven, forward-thinking and experienced Senior Consultant to join Chartis our High Reliability Care (HRC) practice, aligned to our Clinical Transformation line of business.
The Senior Consultant is responsible for the delivery of a variety of complex assignments in the areas of Clinical Documentation Improvement. As a member of the Chartis team, the Senior Consultant plays an integral role in contributing to the successful execution of client engagements and building the firm's reputation for quality service.
ResponsibilitiesEngagement Management
l As applicable, coordinate, direct and oversee multi-faceted project work done by Chartis Consultants and/or subcontractors.
l Coordinate fieldwork for engagements by developing project plans, task schedules, scheduling and preparing for on-site assessments, interviews and facilitated sessions, gathering documentation, preparing reports, presenting findings and recommendations, and liaising with client staff.
l Perform engagement procedures designed to identify and define issues, review and analyze evidence, and document business processes. Prepare deliverables to support results of procedures.
l Conduct interviews with client management to gain an understanding of client business conditions, risks and controls (including preparation of interview notes.)
l Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
l Assist in coordinating and communicating the results of consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
l Ensure all deliverables are reviewed with the engagement lead/advisory consultant.
l Provide input to the project team during all phases of an engagement.
lParticipate in the drafting of reports/presentations and presenting drafts to the engagement lead/advisory consultant for review and approval.
Quality Management
l Ensures the firm’s high expectations for quality in all assigned projects and deliverables.
l Contributes to the development of project management, quality assurance and professional consulting approaches/methodologies.
Business/Professional Development
l Contributes to proposal submissions and business development initiatives under the direction of the Leadership team.
l Participates in professional organizations, professional certification programs and professional networking events related to Chartis’ practice areas.
Thought Leadership
l Identify and make recommendations to improve consulting methodologies, tools, work processes and work products as applicable.
Qualifications and Desired Skillsl Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing, Informatics, Health Management/Sciences
l CDIP certification preferred
l 5+ years of experience delivering healthcare consulting in a professional services firm
l5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a hospital/health system in Clinical Documentation Improvement
l Demonstrated professionalism and team-oriented approach
l Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and risk management skills
l Motivated, adaptable, and creative. Experience writing professional business reports
l Ability to develop presentations
lAbility to identify client organizational capabilities
l Ability to prioritize client patient safety/organizational vulnerabilities with understanding of core/systemic issues
l Ability to review and integrate multiple reports
l Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
l Ability to lead a team, manage schedules and match team member skills to client needs
l Strong group facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills
l Ability to travel 50% as needed
Salary range: $120,000-160,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
