Job Title: Senior Consultant, Design & Advanced Services
POSITION PROFILE
The Senior Consultant, Design & Advanced Services will support the Principal Consultant role at Ricoh. This individual will assist in the development, analysis, and recommendations of tactical and strategic initiatives to optimize company performance and reduce costs. The Senior Consultant will work closely with Business Analysts and Principal Consultants to analyze existing processes, procedures, and methods to ensure effective business operations. This role will involve working within cross-functional teams comprised of individuals from various levels within Ricoh, customer organizations, and third-party business partners. It will also support all practice groups within Ricoh Consulting Services (Information Governance, Business Process Optimization, Data Analytics, Organizational Change Management, and Graphic Communications).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, document, analyze, and design business processes. Support the implementation of process improvement initiatives and redesigns. Diagram and evaluate existing processes. Collect data to identify the root causes of problems. Measure performance against process requirements and align improvements to performance gaps through data analysis. Develop metrics and analyze data to measure processes, identifying future improvement opportunities. Assist in the phases of process analysis and design, as outlined by the Principal Consultant. Use business knowledge, process analysis, and consulting skills to understand the customer's environment. Interpret customer needs and requirements, translate concepts into practice, identify process improvement opportunities, and quantify results and trends. Assist in strategic planning across the organization, including executing strategic initiatives, performing benchmarking, optimization analysis, and solving problems related to data gathering and analysis. Create draft findings and recommendations from analysis for team review. Conduct primary and secondary research to identify industry best practices. Perform cost-benefit analyses and provide recommendations. Assist in the delivery of customer findings and recommendations presentations. Communicate team progress through regular status updates, executive summaries, and team presentations. Adhere to defined deliverable formats using tools such as Visio, MS Project, Excel, and other required desktop products.QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
Typically Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 5-8 years of business process analysis and/or consulting experience. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology or similar analytical methodologies to implement measurable business process improvements. This position requires 40-50% travel.Preferred:
Experience in the document or information industry or specific practice group expertise. Key industry experience a plus: Insurance, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Energy, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Legal.Certifications/Experience:
Business Process Management (IIBA/CBAP, BPM) Certified Information Professional (CIP) Enterprise Content Management (ECM) PowerBI/Tableau experience Financial modelingKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to execute broad assignments with minimal direction. Ability to use tools and methods for comprehensive analysis at a departmental and organizational level, including data collection tools and process mapping (current state, etc.). Strong communication skills to convey complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity at all organizational levels. Ability to work closely with Principal Consultants on larger, complex projects. Experience leading requirements-gathering workshops with business users. Ability to incorporate a strategic focus into project deliverables, including findings summaries, business and technical requirements, traceability matrices, business cases, and usage scenarios. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and personal organizational skills. Ability to function well within a team environment.WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL, AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
