What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director, TI&I Regulatory Management, the Senior Consultant role is a seasoned professional responsible for providing specialized coordination and oversight of TI&I regulatory activities including regulatory requests for information, examinations, special projects and other ad-hoc deliverables as required. Additionally, the Senior Consultant is an exceptional communicator who is accountable for responding to TI&I regulatory expectations within a timely manner and ensuring high quality of TI&I regulatory submissions. Furthermore, the Senior Consultant will support the management of regulatory compliance work to ensure compliance to regulatory, legislative, and operational requirements, including the efficient and effective management of regulatory deficiency remediation. As part of the role, the Senior Consultant is a contributor in providing continuous improvements on the TI&I regulatory management program and to the operational risk strategy for the assigned LOBs within TI&I.
This role will work with internal partners at all levels, particularly with TI&I business partners, different Lines of Defense teams (i.e., Global Operational Risk Management , Internal Audit and Global Regulatory Affairs). Expectations for this role includes a hands-on teamwork approach, effective time management and organizational skills, attention to details, as well as critical thinking, problem solving and strong communication skills. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent activities with varying complexity while providing exceptional planning and orchestration in a fast paced, ambiguous environment.

How you'll succeed
Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Provide TI&I expert regulatory advice to TI&I LOB partners. Lead the execution of TI&I regulatory requests for information, examinations, special projects, and other ad-hoc regulatory deliverables as required. Raised during regulatory engagements and work with business and governance teams to resolve related matters. Have a good understanding of regulatory governance and strategic alignment.Regulatory Compliance Management – Lead the management of compliance work to ensure TI&I compliance to regulatory, legislative, and operational requirements, including the efficient and effective management of regulatory deficiency remediation.Strong Communication – Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. Can communicate effectively with internal and external teams and different lines of business. Ability to effectively communicate with senior executives and regulators. Produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate a command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation.Relationship Management - Relationship manager and collaborative consultant with business partners, 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defense for all matters relating to operational risk. Manage relationships at peer or director level, as well as project and initiative managers, within the assigned LOB. Represent Risk Governance on LOB initiatives.Understand Requirements – Conduct analysis of processes and functional requirements to document and communicate the best practices to internal stakeholders. Provide SME advice and direction to internal stakeholders to ensure that the requirements and work packages are appropriately defined and completed.Continuous Improvement – Orchestrate effective leadership behavior, improvement methods, and enabling technologies to inspire a culture of sustainable continuous improvement.Who You Are
You can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years within the financial services industry, particularly within areas of Compliance, Risk Management or Internal Audit and/or extensive knowledge and experience in regulatory principles, practices, and policies. It is also an asset if you have experience with regulatory issue and deficiency management and the ability to collaborate with various Lines of Defense teams (i.e., Global Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit and Global Regulatory Affairs). You must also exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external teams, senior executives, and regulators. You give meaning to data.
