Job Summary

SAP Business Network (SBN) is the global leader in business commerce network, supporting more than $1 Trillion in yearly trade between 2 million connected companies.  Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration is a key product within SAP business Network and is key in transforming the way the companies collaborate with their Training partners be it Supplier, Carriers, logistics providers and Service Providers.  

The SAP Senior Business Process consultant are focused on the rapid transformation of customer procurement and Supply Chain solution. Opening the collaboration with their trading Partners leveraging SAP Business network. He or she is responsible for effectively applying the Sap Cloud deployment processes to meet customer transformation needs within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work. The Consultant will work on all aspects of the implementation process including participation in the sales process for developing scope of work, requirements gathering, business Process mapping, managing client relationship and coordinating technical resources.

Roles and Responsibilities

 

Customer Focus

Uses knowledge of customer’s business and industry to assess findings and shape solutions. Proven ability to lead business conversations with Procurement/Supply Chain stakeholders. Identifies client issues and approaches for determining potential solutions. Dedicated to delivering exceptional results. Lead scope definition and design for Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration solution Leads customers through the lifecycle of an Ariba implementation. Guides customers through the design process to make decisions with full visibility into Ariba Best Practices. Assists customers in the development of processes and procedures which leverage Ariba solution functionality being deployed. Authors/Reviews Functional and Technical design documents. Plans and manages project tasks and resources to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards to achieve high customer satisfaction. Often will lead some portion of the customer deployment. Can deploy Ariba solutions that they may not have previously deployed. Shares expertise through training and communications with customers ensuring knowledge transfer and the desired level of self-sufficiency is achieved.

            Solution/Domain Expertise

Builds solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at SAP and externally at the client). Synthesizes learnings into a logical story using quantitative/qualitative data and/or sound reasoning. Applies a broad knowledge of Ariba Supply Chain solutions and its integration to client’s backend ERP system. Establishes credibility as a conduit for solutions expertise with customers (e.g., positive customer feedback), and is viewed as “trusted advisor” to the customer Quickly learns new features and innovations of the Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration solution in order to present them credibly and confidently to clients and Ariba consultants.

  Teamwork and Practice Development

Executes with minimal guidance and shows strong initiative. Proactively collaborates with teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact solution delivery (e.g., change in scope). Serves as liaison between customer and Ariba internal teams such as Product and Technical Support, Sales, Field Technology, Product Management, and Training. Assists to refine existing or assists in developing new intellectual property and methodology, frameworks and tools (e.g., questionnaires, presentations, implementation methodology, performance management) based on project experience, research, and analysis. Assists in developing and leading trainings on area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale projects (End-2-End implementation) 6+ years of experience in implementing and Configuring SAP ERP for the following functions: Deep and hands-on knowledge on Direct Materials Procurement (MM) Standard Scheduling Agreement/ Releases Subcontracting/ Contract Manufacturing Consignment /Third party/Drop ship/STO Invoice management Basic Planning & Forecasting (MM, PP) Demand and supply planning   S&OP, Demand Management, MRP Supplier managed inventory management (MM) Basic warehouse and Transportation Management (EWM/ LES) Understanding of ERP integration via middleware and direct connect Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to read and troubleshoot ABAP.   Exposure to multicultural scenarios / international work experience a plus. Ability to travel Nationally and international (65%+) Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, or technical discipline

 

Additional Qualifications (good to have - differentiators)

Experience in implementing Advanced Planning Systems (SAP IBP & APO-DP, Kinaxis, E2Open) Quality management (QM) Industry experience in the following a plus:    Resources/Mining Consumer Packaged Goods Life Sciences (Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device) High-Tech Automotive Industrial Manufacturing/ Machinery & Components Experience with other Cloud Procurement solutions. Basic understanding of B2B/EDI communication and technology.
