What you’ll learn and do
At PwC Consulting, we help clients create value for stakeholders by determining and safeguarding an organisation’s optimal position, mitigating risks, and improving core procurement and supply chain processes through innovative approaches. PwC Consulting has a strong Supply Chain Management (SCM) practice and is a recognized market leader across Benelux with broad capabilities, including in Sustainable Sourcing and Procurement Transformation.

As a Senior Consultant – Sustainable Sourcing Strategy & Transformation, you will:

Use your sourcing & procurement experience to develop and implement innovative sustainable sourcing strategies aligned with sustainability principles and business objectives.Lead decarbonization & circular sourcing initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations, including supplier engagement and carbon footprint reduction strategies, as well as securing access to circular/green materials.Assess and enhance due diligence practices to ensure compliance with global sustainability regulations and build resilient value chains through human rights regulations, environmental risk and biodiversity dependency risk management.Drive circular sourcing models, integrating recycled and renewable materials into procurement strategies to reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency.Develop innovative frameworks to support tangible business benefits in terms of top or bottom-line value creation.Work with clients to (re)define their supply chain and procurement vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business and sustainability objectives.Apply PwC’s strategic sourcing methodology to assess, negotiate, and contract with suppliers, optimizing total value of ownership through the improvement of sustainability performance.Perform impact assessments of sustainability initiatives and develop roadmaps for sustainable procurement transformation.Support large-scale procurement transformation projects for global clients, focusing on sustainability-driven efficiency gains and regulatory compliance.

Who you are, what you are like

Master’s degree in Sustainability, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field.2 to 6 years of professional experience in a Sustainable Procurement, Responsible Sourcing, or Supply Chain Transformation role, preferably as a strategy consultant, buyer, category manager, or project manager.Proven expertise in decarbonization, ESG due diligence, and circular sourcing practices and impact assessment.Knowledge of international sustainability regulations (EU Green Deal, EUDR, CSDDD…) and sustainable procurement standards (ISO 20400, GRI, SBTi…).Ability to combine technical expertise with business consulting skills, working directly with management and stakeholders across diverse industries.Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French.A passion for sustainability, an analytical mindset, and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
