Description:

HDR is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our New England Water Business Group team in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a background of leading business development opportunities and programs in the water/wastewater/water resources industry in Massachusetts. They will be responsible for performing client development activities in Massachusetts to grow our water program and identify and support successful pursuit of water/wastewater/water resources projects through planning, design, and construction phases. They will serve as a Client Liaison where they have relationships and need to be skilled in identifying and positioning for HDR to successfully engage in pursuits and proposals that lead to new or expanded projects, and, if needed provide input on project delivery. Project types will include water, wastewater and water resources infrastructure projects.

Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Participating in lead roles and encouraging involvement in industry organizations and functions including presentations and publicationsProviding direction and being involved with community and public outreach activities related to the development of projectsBuilding team technical expertise and production capacity through recruitmentMay have the opportunity to serve in an expert type role for projects

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldMaintain a professional or engineering registration or certificate or have related technical experience

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others Demonstrated ability to build a network of clients and industry partners Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in-person Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff
