Senior Consultant Casualty Risk Control
Aon is Looking for a Senior Consultant – Casualty Risk Control (Toronto, Montreal) As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our risk control business group within Aon Commercial Risk / Aon Global Risk Consulting. As a Senior Consultant – Casualty Risk Control, you will report directly to Brett Christie, National Leader, Casualty Risk Consulting. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Your Impact as a Senior Consultant – Casualty Risk Control As a Senior Consultant – Casualty Risk Control, your role will be to consult with clients on casualty risk control matters. This position involves bringing subject matter expertise to clients in the following technical areas (premises liability, auto, worker’s compensation/workplace safety and health, physical security) to reduce an organization's potential for CGL/Auto/WC/Crime loss and improve the overall cost of risk. You will also be accountable for the following: Conducting hazard identification and risk assessments at client sites; Conducting gap analysis of client programs in the technical areas vs applicable best practices/standards Developing risk control management programs in the technical areas; Conducting serious incident investigations as required; Developing and delivering hazard awareness and loss prevention training; Preparing insurance underwriting information reports related to CGL and Auto; Writing Risk Control mitigation recommendations to assist clients with identification and reduction of CLG, auto, WC or crime losses / claims Evaluating and responding to insurance company loss prevention recommendations and providing options to clients; Skills and experience that will lead to success Required Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive industry or consulting experience in OHS and WC/Disability Management, liability risk control, physical security, fleet safety Practical industry experience in leading the development, implementation and assessment of OHS, Public Safety, Fleet safety and Physical Security programs. Strong project management / consulting capabilities Knowledge of federal and/or provincial OHS legislation, National Safety Code (Fleet), premises liability/tort law, physical security/CPTED, etc.; Strong analysis, problem solving and decision making capabilities; Ability to work collaboratively as a key member a team and independently with minimum supervision; Demonstrated success with developing client relationships; Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills; and Flexibility to travel throughout Canada Additional Experience Desired But Not Required: Worked with an Insurance Company or Broker as a Casualty Risk Consultant or Manager Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Emergency Response knowledge Environmental risk management Ergonomics Industrial Hygiene Education: Currently hold a related degree and/or designation in risk management, fleet safety, worker’s compensation/disability management, occupational health and safety, physical security Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Canadian Risk Management designation Certified Director of Safety (CDS) / fleet Physical Security Professional (ASIS) Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
