Marsh Advisory team is seeking for a talented professional to join our Claims Solutions Advocacy Team at Marsh McLennnan. This role will be based in Mexico City or Monterrey, Nuevo León. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Claims Solutions Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for carrier/client collaboration and advocacy of commercial lines claims, determining plans of action and/or claims management expectations. This role will also work directly with multiple insurance company representatives and clients to manage claims on all lines of commercial insurance coverages.
You will be managing claim issues on behalf of our clients, support the overall office goals regarding new business and client stewarship. This position understands the needs of the client and proactively provide a service that create efficiencies, compliance, and adds value to the overall client relationship.
We will count on you to:
Analyze loss situation and develop the strategic path to provide solutions to clients.Assists clients with claim preparation process, measuring the property and consequential lossAssists clients with claims handling and support as needed, using negotiation skills to provide best possible outcome.Provide initial and on-going advocacy on claims including detailed analysis, interpretation, consultation and negotiation of coverage.Ability to successfully negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims including the ability to interpret related documentation.Meet with clients and internal colleagues to provide analysis, interpretation and recommendations regarding client loss information.Respond to clients regarding coverage, exposure, and settlement questions.Review claim determinations received from adjusters for compliance with policy conditions. Handle coverage disputes and prepares coverage arguments for client advocacy and form coverage positions as client advocate.Provides value added services to clients, focusing on account retention and obtaining new business.Applies advanced knowledge of the industry to develop presentations/slides and other communications of high complexity to drive internal and client meetingsDevelops pricing for complex projects and develops proposals to expand relationships with existing clients and gain new clientsProvides expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide risk programs and initiativesDevelops and executes strategies to expand successful business/working relationships with clients to grow the booksLeverages advanced knowledge of industry trends around risk management to develop actionable insights into a client's business environment and risk management environmentLeads small projects and begins to lead more complex and/or unique projects.What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field.5+ years of commercial insurance experience in claims.Solid coverage knowledge in Commercial Property, Ocean Cargo, Inland Marine, Equipment breakdown.Experience in budgeting or measuring material and consequential lossesBasic Legal knowledge for claims handling.Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English and Spanish.Strong negotiation & influencing skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong ability to interact with internal and external executives, to create, develop & maintain extraordinary business relationships.Excellent problem-solving and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines as required.Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork.Willingness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in insurance industryStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Self-motivated, problem solving/solution oriented with goal setting.Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple client projects and meet defined timelines.Results oriented with the demonstrated ability to follow-through on client issues to resolution.Interpretation of financial statements and P&L’sAccounting and financial knowledge: Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial standardsData analysis: Ability to analyze large volumes of financial data.Basic knowledge of valuation principles, appraisal methods related to valuation of assets and real estateWhat makes you stand out?
