• Conduct site investigations for mine design projects; • Evaluate new technology, mining equipment and methods; • Data analysis including preparing parameters for mine design; • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on larger projects; • Mine design and inspection; • Project manage mine design studies • Other duties as assigned/required. • Other duties as assigned/required. 8 Undergraduate degree in Mine Engineering; • Professional Engineer in Ontario preferred or able to transfer license; • 6+ years of experience, underground and open pit mine design experience; • Mine ventilation design experience; • Extensive grasp and sound technical knowledge of mining engineering fundamentals and techniques used for underground and open pit operations; • Strong knowledge of geology, rock mechanics, and processing; • Excellent knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite; Whittle and Surpac • Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional manner; • Flexibility to travel as required for project work.
