Senior Consultant Regulatory Reporting

Job Description & Summary

The opportunity 

As a Senior Consultant in the Broader Assurance Services (BAS)– Financial Services Accounting and Regulatory team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality assurance and advisory services to leading financial institutions across both local and international markets. You will work on complex regulatory reporting engagements, including COREP and FINREP, and support clients in interpreting and implementing CRR requirements. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in banking or Big 4 environments, who are passionate about financial regulation and thrive in dynamic, cross-border project settings.

 

What you will be doing: 

Deliver assurance and advisory services related to regulatory reporting (e.g., COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR, LE, ALMM) for both Romanian and international clients. 

Interpret and apply CRR/CRD regulations and EBA guidelines in client engagements. 

Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of regulatory reporting frameworks and internal controls. 

Conduct gap assessments and remediation plans for compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. 

Collaborate with cross-functional (e.g., ESG, Data, Risk, Future of Finance) and/or cross-border teams to deliver integrated solutions. 

Prepare and review technical documentation, working papers, and client deliverables. 

Coach and mentor junior team members, contributing to their development and performance. 

Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations. 

 

 

What we need from you: 

Minimum 5 years of experience in a Big 4 firm or a financial institution, with a focus on regulatory reporting or financial risk. 

Good knowledge of the EU regulatory framework for banks, including CRR, CRD, and EBA ITS.  

Solid understanding of the banking environment, including capital and liquidity risk, internal controls, and financial instruments.  

Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.  

Fluency in English.  

Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting tools is a plus.
