As a Senior Consulting Engineer you will be responsible for determining fitness-for-service of fixed, rotating, and pressure equipment. Responsibilities include performing advanced fitness-for-service (FFS) and computational engineering work, project management, and business development.
As an Senior Consulting Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Performing advanced fitness-for-service and computational engineering work, including advanced stress and fatigue analysis using finite element software, and remaining life assessment for energy sector clients.Conducting remaining life and asset integrity assessments for various industries.Innovating methods for increased project efficiency and profitability.Mentoring larger group projects, emphasizing project efficiency through task delegation.Implementing quality control standards and procedures for engineering deliverables and client communications, as needed.Identifying and cultivating business relationships and opportunities, particularly with key clients.Advising business development strategies, emphasizing development of specific services and solutions for business growth.Writing, reviewing, and contributing to technical papers, presentations, and articles.Presenting AE capabilities at conferences and seminars, per management.Mentoring and informing team development, including recruitment.Maintaining professional oral and written communication, appropriate attire for the environment, punctuality, and good organization. Attendance and work hours are communicated and appropriate for effective group engagement.

To be successful in this role you will:
BS in related science or engineering field.Have a minimum 3+ years of high level of engineering project experience with an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or engineer, procure, and construct (EPC) firm.Have experience working in hydropower preferredHave a Professional Engineering license and/or Project Management Professional preferred.Have extensive knowledge of structural mechanics; mechanics of materials, fatigue, and vibration; finite element analysis; and programming required.Have advanced experience with geometry and mesh generation methods and tools (e.g., Solidworks, Abaqus CAE, ANSYS Workbench, and FEMAP) preferred.Programming skills beyond general Python scripting and experience with high-performance computing hardware preferred.Must possess extraordinary problem solving, analytical thinking, and communication (both written and oral) skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.Must have experience with finite element best practices.Have strong problem solving, analytical thinking, and written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational, accounting, and mathematical skills.Work in a way that works for you

The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. The actual payout for your short-term incentive award will be based on company and individual performance and is contingent upon Baker Hughes achieving pre-determined financial results.
