Senior Content Designer

**Position Summary**
The Sr. Content Designer is responsible for the creation, development, and maintenance of multimodal training and development programs for leaders across Flynn. The Sr. Content Designer will focus on initiatives that will improve productivity, performance, leadership capabilities, employee engagement and retention. In this role, the Sr. Content Designer will collaborate with and assist the VP of Talent Management & Learning, HR, brand leaders, and subject matter experts across the organization to create high-quality programs that engage and drive increased behaviors and performance of leaders.
**Responsibilities**
+ Collaborate effectively with the VP of Talent Management & Learning, brand leaders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop engaging, relevant, and effective training content/programs.
+ Lead gap and needs analyses and learning strategy development activities to improve individual and organizational performance through learning.
+ Utilize proven methodologies, tools, and available platforms to create scalable and effective learning content for environments such as classroom training, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, video, and blended learning modalities.
+ Develop learning solutions and programs through the application of applying adult learning principles, learning sciences, and systematic instructional design to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner.
+ Develop and design course content and supporting materials such as PowerPoint presentations, reference guides, leader’s guides, job aids, gamified lessons, instructor led training resources, and interactive videos.
+ Develop and design exercises and reinforcement activities, tutorials, assessments, and other methods of learning support including experiential, social or connected learning strategies, and multimedia-based assets.
+ Reconceptualize existing in-person professional development programs for virtual instructor-led delivery.
+ Lead the redesign of existing brand curricula and training programs utilizing adult learning theory and practices proven to change performance and build behaviors.
+ Lead successful projects through applicable project management skills and tools, designed to plan and determine resource needs, track progress and provide reoccurring updates.
+ Manage all aspects of the external content and design vendor relationship, to ensure timelines and project expectations are met.
+ Oversee initial set up and design of Learning Management System (LMS), while maintaining this environment to ensure positive user experience and platform utilization.
+ Ensure brand messages and terminology are consistent across all materials.
+ Ensure excellent communication, teamwork, and alignment with key stakeholders, developing content and program and acting as a trusted partner.
**Job Qualifications**
+ 7+ years experience as an instructional and content designer responsible for leadership curricula design, interactive eLearning content design and experience in designing effective learning experiences and content to support adult learners.
+ Demonstrated experience developing training materials and content to include creating instructor-led materials, virtual/webinars, e-learning modules, job aids, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio), and other training materials.
+ In-depth knowledge and ability to apply adult learning principles and Bloom’s Taxonomy applications into program and content development.
+ Experience utilizing PowerPoint, e-learning software, and tools at a mastery level.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes skill in collaborating with subject matter experts and leaders to help develop content for projects.
+ Ability to provide a portfolio or samples of work to demonstrate the creation of high-quality content and products.
**Education**
+ Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, or equivalent work experience.
