Senior Content Management Analyst- Legal Tax Research

Develops and oversees standard technology specifications, data structures and content for specific products. Responsible for development and support of publishing technologies, and the collection and selection of content. Responsible for the design, development and support of electronic products with regards to both content and technology ramifications. Designs, develops, and deploys translation programming as required for print products and/or electronic media.

Job Description

A successful candidate for the position would have editorial responsibility of specified content identified by manager. This includes daily coverage of federal and international tax developments (both administrative guidance and legislation), analyzing, rewriting and updating of tax research content to incorporate these new developments into standing material, revision of this material on a periodic basis, and work with tax research and workflow tools, including both the updating of tools and the creation of new tools. The work supports Wolters Kluwer's flagship research solution, CCH AnswerConnect. This position also includes working with cross functional teams (product management, production, development, software, and sales (where applicable).Position reports to manager content management.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

Specialized understanding of U.S. federal tax concepts, with a focus on taxation of inbound and outbound foreign transactions and income, including: GITLI, Transfer Pricing, CFCs, Withholding, Foreign Tax Credits, and BEPS.Ability to work with others and function in a team environmentWorks independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations; may lead projects across departments or areas with a variety of resource requirements, risk, and/or complexityParticipate in new product development as neededAssist on special projects as needed (for example, customer-facing presentations or presentations to industry groups)Troubleshooting issues (taking initiative).

Job Qualifications

Education:  

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

Law degree with 5+ years of practice or research experience

Experience

Related practical experience a plus, but not required.Media and/or publishing industry experience a plus, but not required.Knowledge of tax law preferred, but not required.

Preferred Experience

Three+ years’ experience coordinating or leading editorial work on content segments or productsRelated practical experienceMedia or publishing industry experienceKnowledge of tax law
