Skyline is looking for a passionate, driven, and energetic candidate to join our team for the position of Senior Content Marketing & Communications Specialist located at our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario. As our Content Marketing & Communications Specialist (it’s a big job…needs a big title), you would be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of Skyline Group of Companies’ internal and external communication strategy. The role will involve conceptualizing, crafting, reviewing, and/or implementing various forms of content and marketing deliverables (from white reports to digital ads) and ensuring all content shared has the correct voice and brand identity. You will be working with a passionate team of word nerds and storytellers, so exceptional writing and editing skills are a must. It’s also important that you have the curiosity mindset needed to uncover great story ideas and new opportunities to connect with our audiences. What you’ll be doing: + Planning, crafting, and implementing internal and external communications to Skyline’s audiences for various transactions, events, initiatives, and campaigns. + Ensuring all content crafted and shared internally and externally is consistent with Skyline’s corporate imaging and branding. + Ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing initiatives with the ultimate goal of growing national brand awareness and engaging investors. + Assisting with the corporate award submission process, including completing applications for corporate award submissions, leading content creation, and gathering affiliate companies’ data where appropriate. + Developing ongoing expertise, staying current in a changing media and social media landscape, and establishing a process for ongoing content creation and scheduling. What we look for: + Experienced and creative business writer (but not too creative, we have to be truthful) who can make even the driest subject matter engaging. + Inherent curiosity and demonstrated excellence in writing and editing. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects and timelines without sacrificing quality. + Flexibility - not in a yoga kind of way, but more about being able to change gears quickly as our business needs evolve.   + Strategy expert - we can depend on you to suggest the best course of action. + Proven track record in project management practices and ability to overcome challenges by using your magical organizational skills. + Professionalism - it means so many things, but to us, it’s about taking pride in the quality of service we provide to our customers, both inside and outside the organization.  + A sense of humour (not only do you think you're funny, but others do too!). + Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. + Proficiency in media monitoring and external relations. + A penchant for social media, SEO, SEM, and the Google Ads platform. + Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications/PR, or related field. + At least seven years of workplace experience or equivalent combination of workplace experience and education.
