Senior Contracts Manager

What success looks like in this role:

Reviews and prepares complex, specialized and/or non-routine responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.

Analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions for compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure.

Ability to manage ambiguity and differing views, analyze the opportunities for effective compromise that meets the needs of both Unisys and the client.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Manages contract change control process. Develops negotiation strategy and leads negotiation team on complex contractual issues.

Responsible to lead resolution of commercial/contractual disputes with the client. May lead and direct a team of individual contributors with specific assigned program objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the contractual and commercial performance of key contracts.

Interpret, implement and monitor contract obligations.

Track and monitor contract changes, deliverables, risks and maintain associated registers. 

Provide subject matter advice on contract, commercial and finance management areas.

Ensure commercial, legal, risk, financial and other governance aspects of the relationship are maintained.

Identify and resolve commercial, contractual and financial issues across all organizational levels. 

Collect, interpret and review financial information.

Provide oversight and assurance on the invoicing process.

Ensure that the financial reports are accurately prepared and delivered on time.

Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

NV1 Clerance is required.

Contract management / commercial / finance / procurement experience (commercial strategy development, contract negotiation, interpretation and variation, tender management and evaluation, etc) with large complex clients.

Experience working with Government departments.

Relevant bachelor's degree and at least 8 years post degree qualification related work experience.

Direct experience in the execution of contract and commercial management responsibilities.

Ability to forge strong professional relationships with delivery, finance and account management teams and client counterparts.

Experience in a wide range of commercial and contract activities (e.g. complex business cases, company structures, risk/reward, strong oral and negotiation skills) within the information technology outsourcing industry.

Management/mentorship experience.

Optional paralegal or equivalent experience.
