Control System Engineer

Indianapolis, IN (hybrid working) / Chicago, IL (remote working)

As a Control System Engineer you will be the owner of assigned programs and responsible for providing technical guidance, counsel and direction to a small team of engineers to ensure technical outcomes are on task and delivered. You will support resource planning and mentor junior engineers on processes, tools and solutions.  Work with global engineering community to identify areas for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Key Accountabilities:

Develop electronic control system requirements, design and verification work products for safety critical applications as per ARP4754 and appropriate guidance within DO-178BAssist in establishing the highest standards of technical capability, quality, professionalism, and teamwork within project teamProvide engineering and process direction, guidance or trainingReview engineering work products for quality and completeness of technical contentResolve complex problems through the application of acquired technical experience and knowledgeExchange complex technical ideas and information in a concise and logical way

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in STEM discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Physics) with 2+ years of product development engineering experience, OR Masters of Science degree in STEM discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Physics), ORPhD in STEM discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Physics)In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

Application of agile development methods to deliver engineering work productsExperience with military qualification of airborne systemsGas turbine engine or propulsion control system experienceExperience with FAA certification or military qualification of airborne systemsDemonstrated experience with control system design and analysis toolsDevelopment of model-based systems with digital engineering toolsets
