Job DescriptionResponsible for the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical controls for plants manufacturing equipment, &/or gauges/testing for new and existing products and processesTroubleshooting process parameters and implementing corrective actionsLead regulatory compliance for electrical wiringSupport process engineers with design of electrical controls for all dept in the plantSupport creation of automated data collection system for critical plant operationsIdentify improvement opportunities and lead implementationSupport project implementation for new products or processes in facilityProvide electrical training for engineering and maintenance teamLead all development, maintenance, and continuous improvements of plant high voltage power supply systemGenerate accurate process instructions, method sheets, equipment set-up and operating instructions.Control all equipment electrical drawings and programsDevelop and implement training for maintenance and engineering on electrical and controls standardsInitiate appropriation requests for major projectsCompile, prepare and present data for project updates and technical presentations to staff and/or managementSupport new product manufacturing start upsCoordinate with IT department to setup and maintain PLC network communicationsConfigure/Manage equipment for automatic daily machine production reporting emailsConfigure/Manage data collection system and upgrade the system hardware and software as neededMaintain plant electrical distribution single line drawings and update as new equipment is added  Perform Arc Flash analysis and label all equipment on 3 year intervals as requiredCoordinate required testing on plant switchgear every 5 yearsDesign and build control systems for in house developed equipmentUpgrade older control systems as neededSupport machine robotic systems integrations with PLCs. Work with process engineers to troubleshoot problemsDesign, maintain and improve machine safety systems.

QualificationsMinimum of 5 year experience in PLC & PC based controls for industrial manufacturing equipment and processes (Preferred Allen Bradley, LabView, Visual Basic)Working Knowledge of high voltage power system grid and capable of providing maintenance requirements, expansion requirements, and upgrade of these systems including: High voltage Transformers, Sub-Stations, and high voltage bus-waysWorking Knowledge of all electrical wiring standards for industrial equipment and power system, including safety wiring standardsProficient at development, design and implementation of automatic data collection and storage systems from PLC and PC based equipment and processesKnowledge of vision systemKnowledge of Robotic programmingProficient at creating Electrical drawingsWorking knowledge of design of experiments, Quality (definition, customer requirements), preventive maintenanceExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operationsProficient with software programs such as Microsoft Office, CAD (AudoCad, Pro-E) visual basic, Access Data basesAbility to train technical and non technical work force on electrical and control standardsDemonstrated success handling multiple priorities in changing environmentsDemonstrated ability to trouble shoot and successfully resolve problemsExperience with lean manufacturing and change management preferredLeadership experience preferred
