Position Summary
Be responsible for designing and verifying embedded software for control modules of BorgWarner Drivetrain System products, including all wheel drive system control units used in Combustion, Hybrid and Electric Vehicle. Work with the ECU development stakeholder team and follow BorgWarner Software Development Process.
Key Accountabilities
Designing and implementing control software for Drivetrain system products, using both model-based software design and traditional development methodDeveloping application control software based on existing hardware and basic software platformSoftware integration, unit testing using MiL/SiL/HiL methods, vehicle verification of control algorithmsSoftware architecture design and verificationCreate control software design documents and requirement documentsSoftware work effort estimationSupport application and adaptation of controls and software platform architecture to customer application from control software perspectiveQualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred Minimum of 3 years’ project experience in ECU software development in automotive industry (required)Experienced user of embedded C programming language (required)Experience with and knowledge of control theoryProject experience on vehicle dynamics control development & simulation (preferred)Project experience with Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow and auto-coding (required), experience with TargetLink(preferred)Project experience in CAN stack(required)Project experience in software unit testing and vehicle testingProject experience in UDS protocol, Network Management and Bootloader(preferred)Experience with FOC/Sensorless BLDC motor control(preferred)Experience in AUTOSAR software development and configuration(preferred)Experience in Functional Safety and Cyber Security(preferred)Experience with Vector CAN tools, CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe etc.(preferred)Experience of script languages such as Python(preferred), Experience with C#/C++ development (preferred)Good driving skills(preferred)Good English skills in both written and verbal(required)Good presentation skills(required)Familiar with rapid prototyping toolchains, e.g. MABx, OpenECU(preferred)Familiar with 32bit microcontroller, e.g. Infineon Aurix(preferred)Familiar with Automotive SPICE(preferred)Basic electronics knowledgeBasic knowledge of sensors and actuatorsKey Competencies
