We have an exciting opportunity to join the legal department at Paramount! A key role within the Consumer Products and Experiences (‘CP & E’) Business and Legal Affairs team, the Senior Coordinator, Business and Legal Affairs will be a primary point of contact for the Paramount Consumer Products business team in LatAm, with responsibility for ensuring a fast, efficient and consistent turnaround time for all deals across LatAm and certain other International Markets whilst providing the business with a high level of professional service at all times! This role will report to the Senior Manager, Business and Legal Affairs, CP & E.
Responsibilities
Managing and administering legal documents and processes for LatAm and certain other International Markets as may be required from time to time;
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for Consumer Products (merchandise, promotions, publishing, agent/master licensee representation agreements, collaboration agreements, permission letters, NDAs and termination agreements);
Preparing payment default, termination and infringement letters as well as customs letters upon request;
Reviewing rights-related queries, liaising with internal teams to gather information and providing clear and timely advice to the CP business in relation to such queries;
Assisting with reports, research, counterfeit sightings, debt collection and litigation matters as required;
Maintaining templates and suggesting updates;
Liaising with intellectual property team regarding IP infringement matters and supporting with day-to-day IP protection matters;
Maintaining relationships internally and externally (e.g. agents and licensees);
Assisting with events and experiences matters as required;
Assisting VP, SVP and EVP of BALA on special projects as/when instructed; and
Assisting other Junior Contracts Managers, Senior Contracts Managers and Counsel as required.
Basic QualificationsAt least 2 years relevant experience, 3+ preferred;
Including 1+ years of Paralegal or contract manager experience – certificate in paralegal studies or contract management preferred;
Additional Qualifications
Experience doing business in one or more LatAm terrorities and familiarity with local laws, regulations and business practices preferred;
Experience working in-house preferred, but will consider applicants from private practice backgrounds that have had experience managing their own caseload and dealing directly with clients;
Ability to manage own workload and priorities with a high volume of deals;
Confident autonomously drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements and amendments;
Strong commercial awareness;
Able to succinctly explain key issues and provide actionable advice/solutions to business teams;
Strong attention to detail;
Ability to understand numbers in business/financial context;
Excellent time management;
Accuracy and speed to ensure fast and efficient turnaround times;
Able to cope with demanding workload and maintain high standards under pressure;
Able to work well both independently and with other team members, other internal departments, agents and licensees;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly across cultures and languages;
Willing and able to assist other team members with drafting contracts/amendments as/when required; and
Providing excellent and professional service at all times.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 80,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
