Senior Copywriter & Strategist – RBC Wealth Management Canada Marketing
What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Copywriter & Strategist, you’ll play an integral role in helping Investment Advisors tell their unique stories to connect with existing and future clients. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in financial services, particularly within the wealth management industry. This role involves crafting and refining client-facing content across multiple platforms, including websites, emails, social media, and print. You will collaborate closely with a diverse and talented marketing team made up of designers, project managers, consultants, and developers to bring creative strategies to life.
As a key contributor to both head office projects and custom Investment Advisor materials, you will engage directly with various stakeholders, ensuring each piece of content aligns with our business objectives and client needs. You’ll serve as a steward of our brand’s tone of voice, maintaining consistency while navigating complex compliance regulations. Your expertise in financial copywriting will help ensure that all communications resonate with our audience, meet regulatory standards, and enhance our brand’s reputation in the marketplace.
What will you do?
Write and conceptualize clear marketing copy for web, email, social, and traditional print (and the occasional video) to highlight our RBC Wealth Management Canada business and offeringsAssist in interviewing our Investment Advisors and their teams to uncover the core essence of their brand, story, and value propositionPartner with our designers to create copy for compelling graphics, photos, marketing collateral, and occasional videosContribute to highly collaborative copywriting department through peer editing, including substantive editing as well as proofreadingDevelop creative solutions with minimal direction and guidance, when requiredKeep up to date with the latest digital marketing and writing trends, techniques, and technologiesWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
10+ years of experience writing marketing copy in various brand voices/tones and in accordance with SEO principles and AODA law5+ years of experience working in marketing, branding, or advertising role for the financial services environment/industryA flair and passion for words, and an ability to sell through your work to various stakeholders, developing a collaborative relationship with a focus on service excellenceAbility to organize work and establish priorities independently to meet deadlinesNice-to-have
Post-Secondary education in: English, Journalism, Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experienceExperience working as part of a traditional creative team (designer and copywriter)Bilingual; fluent in both English and French (reading, writing, conversation)Demonstrated editing/proofreading skills, including having worked with style guidesWhat’s in it for you?
