Senior Corporate Account Executive
Overview The Senior Corporate Account Executive will focus on the acquisition of Mailchimp’s highest value customers, specifically our mid-market customers. This position involves calling and emailing prospective customers, business referrals, web leads, and processing other leads. This role is responsible for educating and guiding Mailchimp’s highest value prospects through the buyer's journey to help them learn how Mailchimp can grow their business. The Sr. Corporate Account Executive is an excellent listener, asks clarifying follow-up questions, overcomes objections, and connects the dots between our platform and integration possibilities. This role is skilled with telling compelling stories offering valuable, relatable perspectives showcasing Mailchimp as a strategic investment for their business growth. This role directly ties business goals and marketing pain points to Mailchimp solutions. Sr. Corporate Account Executives are responsible for accurately forecasting their business, proactively managing leads through the path-to- purchase, and achieving targets. What you'll bring + 3+ years of closing sales experience + Proven background and understanding of a Client Management lifecycle + Track record of being a high performer (e.g., over quota, President's Club) + Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to an international audience + Strong phone presence, listening, and presentation skills + Attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability + Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage shifting priorities + Experience with Salesforce or other comparable CRMs + Have a positive outlook and a strong ability to take responsibility for their successes and failures + Continual education in market and competitive landscape Bonus points for + Working knowledge of Mailchimp’s platform and features + Experience working with SaaS solutions + Experience in utilizing key sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, Solution or Sandler + Knowledge of market and competitive landscape + Experience with sales automation tools How you will lead + Manage a pipeline of inbound and outbound leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with prospective buyers + Ability to manage both mid-market & enterprise sales cycles + Making multiple outbound calls to prospective clients, presentations, occasional attendance at conferences/local meetups, or face to face meetings + Dissect and qualify prospects' business goals to determine if Mailchimp can be a strategic investment for their business growth + Influence decisions to achieve win-win outcomes + Deliver remote consultative product demonstrations and light support to higher value prospects and existing customers considering upgrading or expansion + Partner with marketing teams to execute strategy as the company introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products + Effectively engage internally with other Mailchimp teams to move deals forward + Identify areas of opportunity to drive more revenue for Mailchimp and author proof-of-concepts to influence stakeholders + Promote our agency partners for “do it for me” work + Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and conversion metrics + Develop scripts and adjust playbook based on success/fail averages + Consistently close new business at or above quota EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability.
