Senior Corporate Actions Manger

Role Purpose: An excellent opportunity has arisen at the AVP level within Corporate Actions which involves carrying out a high risk function within the operation. The successful candidate’s responsibilities primarily include managing a Corporate Actions posting teams. Ensuring for the timely and accurate processing of client Corporate Actions instructions and accounting transactions in Investment Books of Records (IBOR) for respective allotted clients for Global market events within a Middle Office or Custody environment. This will also involve working closely with Global (Sub) Custodians around the instruction confirmation and entitlement collection processes on behalf of a diverse client base.

 Role  Responsibilities :

Provide subject matter expert in Asset Servicing domain specialized in Corporate Actions processingProvide operational support and handle escalations from daily operationsLead Corporate Actions teamsRepresent Corporate Actions in Project meetings with client and other State Street business linesDrive data centric operations and control through robust governance to ensure service excellence.Collaborate with Business and Global Operations leads identifying resources required to support & deliver transition/ change management projectsIdentify, evaluate, and track progress of project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating them appropriately with suggested mitigation approachIdentify opportunity for product automation based on project timeline, service requirements and products offeredDevelop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Track project milestones and deliverablesEffectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.Estimate the resources, timescales and participants needed to achieve project goals.Set and continually manage project expectations with managers, team members and other stakeholders.Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise direct report and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned workUnderstand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures and provide input to the further development of best practicesCollaborate with appropriate teams globally to ensure consistent service delivery client solutions and client satisfactionIdentify, develop and deploy process improvements leading to service level improvements and/or unit cost & operational risk reduction

Key Knowledge/Qualifications/Experience:

Proven track record of related related/industry experience in Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions, Custody, Income7-10+ years of experience of staff management and leading projects Working at senior level in an organization with the capability of communicating effectively at all levelsWorking in matrix structures and cross-cultural environments with an ability to operate on their own and as part of a teamBachelor’s/Master’s degree in business discipline preferred or equivalent work experienceFluent command of English language; excellent communication skills

Skills/Competencies

Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail a mustStrong influencing and negotiating skills when dealing with customers (internal or external) is preferredStrong interpersonal and organization skillsKnowledge of State Street systems/processes preferred but not requiredPrior experience in developing executive communication preferred but not requiredProficiency in MS PowerPoint and Word; advanced expertise in MS Excel
