Your role
As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be the legal business partner on commercial legal matters related to the Cardiometabolic business in our headquarters with a key focus on Diabetes, working in collaboration with other team members supporting the Cardiometabolic business as well as colleagues in our Diabetes Commercial Unit and International Operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Acting as a trusted legal advisor to primarily the Diabetes commercial functions in headquarters, including securing compliance with internal and external rules in relation to product communications and promotion Driving legal assistance to Diabetes and GLP1 projects, including advising on strategy and new business models, working closely with legal and compliance in headquarters and globally Proactively driving processes and initiatives to secure legal compliance for Diabetes and other Cardiometabolic functions, to unlock opportunities as well as protect the company Providing impactful legal advice in cross functional teams and on key strategic projects, including new global product launches and label updates, and developing innovative legal solutions to new and challenging issues in a changing environment Driving training of global legal and business stakeholders, including developing proactive guidelines and tools to help navigate complex legal and compliance matters
You will be engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders both within Global Legal and across the organisation as well as external counsels and third parties. You will have independent ownership for key tasks, but also work together with the lawyers in the team and abroad.
The workplaces will be in Bagsværd and Søborg, Denmark. As part of the Global Legal organisation, you would also be involved with cross-functional Global Legal projects. Additionally, various opportunities within Novo Nordisk in Denmark and abroad offer potential for further personal development.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you hold a Law degree, and have 5+ years of experience from a major law firm or in-house legal department (preferred in-house experience).
Other success criteria are:
Life sciences industry experience strongly preferred (e.g. advisory experience regarding the promotion of pharmaceutical products) Strong stakeholder management skills Strategic thinking and ability to lead and set direction in a complex global stakeholder landscape Attention to details combined with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines Strong communication skills and fluency in English

About the department
You will be a key part of the high performing, dynamic and international Pharma Law Commercial legal team consisting of 9 lawyers and 1 project manager in Denmark and 6 lawyers in Bangalore that are legal business partners to Commercial, Marketing, Public Affairs and Global Communication.
The team is part of the Pharma Law team in Global Legal & Patents, located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. Novo Nordisk’s global legal organisation consists of more than 300 legal colleagues situated at +40 locations around the world.
