Salary: $96,000 to $125,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week after 6 months in the role or 9/80 schedule

Focus: The Senior Cost Analyst is responsible for performing professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data, and applying accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.  

In this role, you will have a direct impact on Olin's financial capabilities and site performance. Your in-depth analysis and problem-solving will support decision-making and help drive operational excellence across multiple business lines. 


Senior Cost Analyst Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for overall daily cost accounting activities, M&E closing processes (i.e. journal entry preparation), and monthly reporting. Specifics of the job content will vary to include assisting with journal entries, checking supporting entries, budgeting processes, product costing, physical inventory observations and accurate recording, fixed asset reviews, reporting, analyzing, and communicating functional activities and results through well-defined and verifiable steps and analysis. Participates in preparations for and drafts segments of financial statements and reports for financial analysis; verifies and understands business conditions and actions that contribute to financial results. Anticipates and assists business unit leaders in financial data and analysis necessary for decision-making. Senior Cost Analyst Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's Degree* in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.  Master's Degree* preferred.   CMA or CPA certifications preferred. Minimum 6 years related cost accounting experience; preferred background experience to include GAAP and SOX policies and procedures, general ledger systems, auditing practices, and public accounting. Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred; chemical environment strongly preferred. Demonstrated Microsoft Office Products experience required; SAP or other enterprise systems experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience including the ability to drive results, collaborate, manage complexity and problem-solve, and effectively communicate. Olin experience in a relevant position preferred. Ability to travel 5 - 10% of the time to Lake Jackson, TX for candidates in Katy.
