PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Senior Cost Analyst at Worley, you will play a crucial role in delivering sustainable change by ensuring robust cost control, forecasting, and financial management of large-scale industrial and capital construction projects. You will provide strategic insights and recommendations to project management teams, enabling effective decision-making and project execution. This role is essential in driving efficiency, transparency, and financial integrity in line with Worley’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support project management in all aspects of cost control and change management to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with project objectives. Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of cost budgets, commitments, actual expenditures, estimates to complete, estimates at completion, trending, and forecasting. Prepare detailed cost, forecast, and change management reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, procurement, subcontractors, and construction management teams, to maintain financial oversight and project efficiency. Manage change orders, analyzing cost and schedule impacts to support informed decision-making. Utilize data analysis techniques to track trends, identify potential cost risks, and provide recommendations to mitigate financial exposure. Support project close-out activities, ensuring all financial and contractual obligations are met in alignment with company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET

Extensive experience in cost control, financial management, and reporting within heavy industrial, capital construction, or oil and gas projects. Strong commitment to safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Proficiency in cost management software, with experience in SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Excel & Word. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders at all levels. Expertise in applying cost control methodologies, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, to support project decision-making. Hands-on experience with computer-based cost management systems, with preference for EcoSys or equivalent platforms. Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment of financial objectives with project execution strategies.
