What you’ll be able to do:
Own and lead the execution of cost estimating and modeling processes across the organization, continuously improving accuracy and effectiveness at all development stages. Take full ownership of developing and maintaining a data/knowledge pipeline to enable effective cost estimation throughout every phase of the electric vehicle development program. Lead the creation of detailed should-cost models for electromechanical products (e.g., electrical/mechanical components, PCBAs, and wire harnesses), providing data-driven insights for critical decision-making. Serve as the technical expert in should-cost modeling and Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE), identifying cost reduction strategies, and value capture opportunities. Demonstrate ownership in communicating and presenting critical cost estimation strategies, embedding best practices across teams to build long-term capabilities in the organization. Take full responsibility for gathering, extracting, and compiling data from various sources using tools such as SQL, R, Python, and Google Cloud to support accurate cost modeling and business decision-making.
Our preferred requirements:
Candidates possess analytical and problem-solving skills with an in-depth knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing methods, and cost estimating Ability to turn data into insights using Power BI, R, and/or Python is a plus Proficiency using aPriori, Facton or similar digital cost modeling tools Ability to take ownership and deliver end-product with minimal supervision Experience developing a cost savings strategy for EV program Proficiency using Atlassian (Jira / Confluence), and Microsoft Office Proficiency using 3DExperience

The minimum requirements we seek:
BS/MS degree in relevant technical discipline 5+ years of progressive experience with cost engineering, data engineering and/or supply chain Professional knowledge of cost modeling methods and tools Ability to read and understand design and manufacturing drawings Strong engineering fundamentals, and ability to apply broadly to vehicle systems and manufacturing processes Excellent technical collaboration and communication, written and verbal
