The Sr. Credit Specialist is responsible for recording financial transactions, managing the general and subsidiary ledgers, conducting period closings in the Oracle Accounts Receivable Module, preparing reports and supporting schedules, monitoring challenging collection accounts, and assisting with audits. Collaborating closely with the Sr. Accounting Ops Supervisor, this role will help establish best practices, work toward standardizing department processes for greater efficiency, and maintain updated documentation for process narratives. Additionally, the Sr. Credit Specialist will lead or support special projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting processes and general ledger activities, ensuring policy compliance, assessing cross-functional impacts, and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
Responsibilities:
Prepare various reports for management and follow-up with operations to address aged outstanding receivables.Create process to streamline clearing of internal accounts receivable transactions.Point of contact for Merchant Services and related training & process improvements.Work with Servco business units to train and problem solve to improve accounts receivable and collection processes.Monitor dashboards & activity of assigned accounts to minimize risk. Process accounting paperwork on repossessions and collect deficiency balances when appropriate. Follow-up with agencies and attorneys, respectively.Assist with processing commercial credit applications & hotline inquires.System maintenance of customer accounts.Requirements:
High School DiplomaMinimum four years of credit and collections work experience involving following up with financial institutions and customers for paymentsProficient with Microsoft OfficeDealerTrack and Oracle skills preferredTyping 35 wpmStrong customer service skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical, independent, problem solver, proactive, and a team playerAbout Servco:
