As a Senior CT/MRI Radiographer:

Be working within our busy, friendly Radiology team, using the MRI Siemens SOLA 1,5T and the CT Siemens Go.Top, both very recently installedUndertake CT & MRI examinations without direct supervision which are protocoled by you, and Radiologists, seeking advice where requiredSupervise and develop more junior staffBe able to perform imaging examinations with due regard to patient’s privacy and dignity and taking into account the supplied clinical information and their physical / mental statusRemain proficient in the use of all equipment used throughout all ModalitiesDevelop an understanding of local protocols and contribute to referral vetting processesEnsure equipment is safe and fit for purpose informing senior staff of any faultsWork with leading practitioners and new practices, equipment, and facilities

 

The person


To succeed as a CT /MRI Radiographer you will need:

A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)Competence in IV cannulation and contrast administrationHigh levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detailA caring nature – to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathyYou will be working in a team to support CT/ MRI and weekends on call rota for CTExcellent communication and team working abilitiesWork well within our small, close and supportive team

Our facilities include 44 purpose built en-suite rooms, three operating theatres and an endoscopy theatre. Other facilities include physiotherapy, health screening, diagnostics and a dental suite.
