Alteryx is searching for a Senior Customer Education Content Developer. This position is remote first, based in North America, designed for an individual contributor.

The Opportunity: At Alteryx we believe that effective customer education is paramount to our continued success. We are looking for a talented individual with experience in software product training development and customer-focused adult learning. In this position you will develop engaging and effective learning experiences across a range of modalities and delivery methods for customers (70% instructor-led training; 30% other modalities such as videos, eLearning, and tutorials), as well as update existing courses and support the Learning Operations and Delivery teams. The ideal individual will have previous customer education experience working with adult learning principles, course design models (ADDIE, Six Disciplines, or SAM), curriculum development, instructional design, and course evaluation. It is a plus if you are familiar with data analytics. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can easily upskill on our own Alteryx products, work with our internal subject matter experts (SMEs), and design training for external customers in the use of the Alteryx product suite.
Responsibilities:
Content Development
• Develop engaging and effective learning experiences for customers across a variety of modalities and delivery methods with a primary focus on instructor-led training (ILT).
• Use strong writing skills to create compelling content and scenarios.
• Work collaboratively with SMEs to design content that meets the established learning objectives.
• Support the delivery team, instructors, and operations partners by ensuring smooth project handoffs, providing train-the-trainer sessions when needed, and delivering the required materials for LMS course publication.
• Lead meetings with diverse audiences across various departments and levels to communicate ideas, present projects, and share results.
• Use a wide variety of software, media, and tools to develop content for ILT and digital learning; videos; infographics; performance support tools; and other deliverables.
• Build a knowledge base of current and future technology trends, innovations, industry standards, ideas, and best practices to ensure training offerings continue to engage Alteryx learners. Processes and Governance
• Demonstrated ability to create and update documentation including policies, procedures, and guidelines to support efficient workflows and decision-making processes
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate documentation and governance requirements, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices • Proven aptitude to effectively collaborate and work with other teams, while demonstrating the ability to lead and influence, in order to foster strong relationships and drive successful outcomes in cross-functional environments
Qualifications:
• Over 8 years of experience as an ILT content developer, instructional designer, or similar role • Exceptional writing and communication skills, including the ability to craft clear learning objectives and create engaging, persuasive content tailored for adult learners
• 2+ years of experience in SAAS customer education (additional experience writing technical content in the SAAS industry a bonus)
• Proven project management experience, with the ability to manage timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced product development lifecycle
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Storyline 360, Rise, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, and TechSmith Camtasia
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• UI/UX design experience a bonus
• Strong team player who collaborates effectively across teams and communicates clearly at all levels of the organization
• Quick learner with an aptitude for developing proficiency in the Alteryx product suite
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced product development lifecycle while delivering high-quality results
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the year

This position is remote first and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.
