Senior Cyber Analyst

Overview:

Based in Northern, VA, Axiologic Solutions LLC has opportunities for you to become part of our high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key federal clients. We are currently seeking an Information Technology Cyber Analyst background to provide support as required to the Integrated Program Office.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more IT Analyst disciplines to support the Requirements and Business Case Analysis team.  The ability to work directly as an IT engineers and interface with multiple personnel is a definite plus.

 

Responsibilities:

Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze/report test results. Performs assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities. Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. Assists in the implementation of the required government, and may make recommendations on process tailoring. Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommends additional security requirements and safeguards. Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators Supports the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports. Periodically conducts of a review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed. Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel. Develop, configure and optimize industrial best practices and government processes from inception through to start up and certification. Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data. Perform risk assessments. Liaison between multiple government agencies Risk Management Preparation of briefings for Executives on status of activities and vulnerability trends. In-depth understanding of IC Security Policy, Standards, and Procedures relating to Security Management. Understand of the Risk Management Framework: Analysis of the impact resulting from architectural deficiencies. Monitor and analyze new technologies.

 

Qualifications:

Must have an active/current TS/SCI and ability to pass CI Poly. Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training/experience. Minimum of ten (10) years’ relative experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal, management, and organizational skills. Strong research, analytical, and editing skills. Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of IT Services and service provision. Desired Security + Ability to work independently. Strong analytical background in Information Technology. Demonstrable experience in Requirements Management. Excellent creative problem-solving skills. Excellent technical skills. Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, Visio. Proven work experience in cyber analytics. Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.

 

Travel Requirements:

·         Travel may be required both inside and outside the Washington National Capital Region (NCR).

 

Level of Responsibility:

Work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of administrative/operational needs.

 

Reporting Chain:

·         This position reports directly to Axiologic Solutions’ assigned Task Order Lead.

 

Level of Supervision Required:

The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available.  The employee plans and carries out the assignment resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interpret policy on own initiative. The employee keeps the supervisor informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.

Work Environment:

·         This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.

·         Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent basis.

·         This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
