Senior Cyber and Network Architect (Principal)

Direct and coordinate tasks for the Systems Interoperability and Integration Engineer SMEs, Cyberspace Defense Analysis Multi-Domain Cyber Security SMEs, and work with other SMEs as needed in the execution of Divisional technical execution needs. Shall apply comprehensive knowledge and be proficient in understanding policies and procedures related to Cybersecurity as defined in DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity, DoDI 8510.01. Help develop division scope of work alignment with actionable recommendations based on industry best practices and reference Systems Design and Architecture. Act as the SME for Hybrid and multi-cloud compute and store roadmap to assist in operation of unit in both connected and disconnected states. Be able to support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks, representing the voice of the Chief Engineer in his/her absence.
Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:
• Identifying opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies.
• Developing reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository.
• Determining the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture.
• Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture.
• Coordinating and conducting governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture.
• Work with the Identity, credentials, and access management (ICAM) team to ensure cross division and cloud usability, both in the connected and disconnected state.
• Work to plan out and execute an executable DAF Zero Trust plan and roadmap.
• Work to put the division on the path of modernization specifically with regard to the divisions Digital Engineering using SysML.

Required SkillsRequired Experience
+ Advanced degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed with 5 of those years in the DoD or DoD related areas.
+ Possesses experience in identifying technical acquisition strategy issues and proposing alternative solutions.
+ Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs as well as the ability to visualize and understand complex requirements and interdependencies of a wide variety of ACAT I programs and IT infrastructure.
+ Demonstrated experience in assisting with strategic level issues and ability to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
+ Possesses proven leadership, team building, strategic planning, and organizational development skills.
+ Have experience initiating and managing high visibility programs
+ Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field and possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
+ Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise (Program Office, Enterprise, and Staff Level Support interface)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Active Secret clearance
+ Applicable DoD 8570.01 compliant certifications, as required
Preferred Qualifications
+ Desire pertinent experience in the development of RFP documentation and support of Acquisition Strategy reviews.
+ Desire pertinent experience with an ACAT I, or equivalent, level program, including development of new programs with the Acquisition community.
