We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber and Network Architect Principal to support the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI), which focuses on providing enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases. WORK LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA JOB STATUS: Full time; salaried SECURITY CLEARANCE: An active US security clearance is required JOB RESPONSBILITIES: Identifying opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes utilizing emerging technologies. Developing reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository. Determining the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture. Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture. Coordinating and conducting governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture. Work with the Identity, credentials, and access management (ICAM) team to ensure cross division and cloud usability, both in the connected and disconnected state. Work to plan out and execute an executable DAF Zero Trust plan and roadmap. Work to put the division on the path of modernization specifically with regard to the divisions Digital Engineering using SysML. QUALIFICATIONS: Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in Cyber and Network Architecture Possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline. Possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices Possesses experience in identifying technical acquisition strategy issues and proposing alternative solutions. Demonstrated experience in assisting with strategic level issues and ability to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities. Possesses proven leadership, team building, strategic planning, and organizational development skills. Pertinent experience with an ACAT I, or equivalent, level program, including development of new programs with the Acquisition community. Pertinent experience in the development of RFP documentation and support of Acquisition Strategy reviews. Demonstrated experience in packaging and presenting briefings for senior level reviews. Demonstrated experience initiating and managing high visibility programs.
