Our work depends on a Senior Cyber Security Analyst joining our team to support the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) activities across the GDIT enterprise.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Lead security assessments of various programs to evaluate and identify risks objectively and independently.Perform technical and non-technical reviews of potential vulnerabilities and determine if the security controls are correctly implemented and effective.Collaborate and communicate successfully with entities across the business to explain and promote corporate security standards.Prepare and present security assessment results to include collaboration with senior managers and system engineers.Assess and analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and risks of new business opportunities.Analyze technical and non-technical data to determine potential weaknesses.Coordinate security services with third-party vendors and contractors as needed to assist in security reviews.Conduct research and evaluate technical and non-technical weaknesses.Produce high-quality reports, presentations, findings, and recommendations for senior GDIT staff regarding the efficacy of current security plans, technical controls, and other security-related matters.Analyze new business opportunities from a cyber-perspective.Identify and track security issues providing guidance and recommendations for resolution.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field, plus eight (8) years relevant work experience OR 12 years related experience in lieu of the bachelor’s degreeExperience working with all levels of staff, management and stakeholdersEffective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Technical skills5 years’ experience in three of more of the following: Cloud security, network security, telecommunications protocols, Operating Systems (Linux, Windows), software development, computer forensics, network analysis, or vulnerability assessmentExperience with Federal and DoD cybersecurity policies and guidelines including National Institute of Technology Special Publications (NIST SP 800 series) and the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)Experience in Security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) including the analysis of system weaknesses and the creation of Plan of Action and MilestonesExperience using Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)US Person requiredLocation: HybridThe following are not required, but strongly preferred:
