Focus: The Sr. Cybersecurity Operations Analyst is responsible for administering and maintaining cybersecurity technology solutions, such as EDR, SIEM, email protection systems, web content filtering systems, and various other technologies. This role ensures the security and integrity of the organization's information systems by monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents and implementing security measures to protect the organization's digital assets.
Senior Cybersecurity Operations Analyst Essential Job Functions:Function as the primary cybersecurity analyst interfacing with the Security Operations Center (SOC)Support Managed Service Providers with general security requests and incidents.Function as the primary administrator and technical expert for security tools such as the Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platform, email security platform, and web content security solutions.Assess security requests, make recommendations, and work with management on complex requirements to ensure appropriate feedback.Assist team with evaluating new security products and make associated recommendations.Research and analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and associated mitigation strategies. Assist in development and implementation of standard operating procedures. Perform routine event reporting, trending, and analysis.Assist teams with various annual security compliance audits.Senior Cybersecurity Operations Analyst Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree* in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years combined experience in cybersecurity, network security, server management or related experienceRelevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, and/or CEH are preferredProficiency in cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus/EDR software, SIEM, web content filtering, network administration and monitoring toolsExperience with incident response and forensic analysisFamiliarity with cloud security and virtualization technologiesExperience triaging security related incidents and understanding how to utilize incident response plans
