Our Subject Matter Experts offer decades of experience working in the federal marketplace and the data visualization environment. The **Cybersecurity Operations Technical Lead** is responsible for ensuring all cybersecurity operations activities area and all subtasks, as well as facilitating inter- and intra-task and subtask coordination. **Responsibilities** + Serve as the SOC Technical SME to the division/agency on all matters related to computer network defense; is also responsible for technical direction of the CDOC. + Lead the SOC in technical strategies, assessments, and technology insertion to improve capabilities that provide the SOC situational awareness of the security posture, vulnerabilities, and overall risk to the enterprise. + Provide technical guidance for effective and efficient response to cyber incidents and propose strategies to prevent incidents from occurring or escalating as well as overall improvement and execution of defensive activities (i.e. monitoring, detection, analysis, response, and coordination). + Provide technical expertise, direction, and leadership across the SOC to identify and resolve cybersecurity issues and provide technical guidance/assistance to junior members of the team. + Identify cyber technology investment opportunities strengthening enterprise defensive capabilities and operational/tactical effectiveness. + Produce technology plans, roadmaps, and schedules for information security and assurance capabilities and their transition. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related fields + Equivalent work experience is acceptable instead of a degree + 8+ years of experience implementing, tuning, maintaining, and operating security operations capabilities such as Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, NDR, A/V, Email Content Filtering, Web Content Filtering, virtual technologies, etc. + 5+ years of experience with coding and scripting languages (i.e., JSON, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, PowerShell, PHP, C, C++, etc.) + ISC(2) CISSP, EC-Council CEH, or similar level certification + Background check **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Proven experience managing and/or leading successful local and remote teams in an operational environment. + Proven experience and the ability to interact authoritatively with a diverse group of senior executives, managers, and subject matter authorities. + Ability to navigate and work effectively across complex, geographically dispersed teams. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
