Senior Data Advisor – Information Governance

Team Overview
As a member of Information Governance within the Wealth Platforms, Data & Artificial Intelligence (WDA) organization, the Senior Data Advisor - Information Governance will work collaboratively with a cross functional team to support and mature our enterprise information governance posture and its capabilities. They will help lead the development and maturation of information governance services and support executing the firm’s information governance strategy by establishing oversight governing bod(ies) to ensure an enterprise operating model clearly defines roles and responsibilities; help create the conditions to enable knowledge powered decisions and mitigate risks utilizing people, policies, processes, and technology throughout the information lifecycle; and support the risk mitigating and value generating firm priorities like regulatory compliance, knowledge powered, and AI.
This role, reporting to the Director - Information Governance, will partner closely with the firm's information governance stakeholders; collaborate with Digital & WDA business, technical and legal stakeholders to consult, define, execute, and oversee information governance services across the broad realm of data, analytics, AI, and content. They will act as a change agent championing a culture that recognizes data and information as a critical asset and enabler of value creation.
What You'll DoCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather insights and champion their information governance needs. Develop and mature an industry leading posture on information governance across the full information lifecycle while incorporating data governance, analytics governance, AI governance, and content governance Develop a robust operating model that outlines the structure, roles, responsibilities, and processes for effective information governance and governing bodies by managing systems of governance and governing bodies. Enable governance/oversight and coordination across key stakeholders to ensure accountability and ownership that our information is consumable, protected, and compliant. Define and activate enterprise approach of controls, processes, metrics, and roles to make our information assets available to those who need them throughout the information lifecycle. These services include polices and processes, information quality, tools strategy, monitoring and enforcement, metrics, and change management Collaborate with Digital and business units to ensure the necessary tools, technologies, and resources are in place to support information governance.Align/Enhance existing processes with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to information governance.Promote a culture of accountability and compliance within the organization.Support scaling of existing data governance servicesEdward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage.
