The Chubb Internal Audit (IA) department has over 180 resources deployed globally with North America IA leadership based in Philadelphia, PA and Whitehouse Station, NJ.  IA plays a vital role to partner with management to evaluate critical control processes throughout the organization.  IA has developed an internal training program which provides a strong foundation to develop audit and leadership competencies.  Additionally, IA provides opportunities for team members to pursue professional designations (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.) based on each team member’s career goals.   IA team members develop strong business knowledge and control assessment skills to position the candidate for a broad range of potential future career opportunities throughout the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal audit teams to understand audit objectives, evaluate data requirements, and identify opportunities for data-driven insights. Develop robust data analytic solutions using tools such as Dataiku, SQL, and Python to support audit processes. Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate areas of risk or improvement. Create dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate audit findings and support data-driven decision-making. Assist in the design and implementation of automated data analysis processes to streamline auditing activities. Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data used in analytics by performing data validation and cleansing as necessary. Partner with IT and data governance teams to ensure proper data access, security, and compliance with regulations. Stay current with industry best practices in data analytics, internal auditing, and technology solutions. Champion and facilitate the use of advanced analytic tools within Internal Audit. This includes creating, presenting, and sharing relevant training materials and demos. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the analytical capabilities of the internal audit function. Document all processes and analytic solutions for future reference.

 

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or related IT/business degree.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role; knowledge of insurance or audit is a bonus.Comprehensive knowledge of data gathering, analysis, and interpretation techniques with emphasis on strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy.Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, especially Dataiku, SQL, and Python; knowledge of Qlik Sense a bonus.Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with proven abilities to consistently deliver projects on time and within budget.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical concepts to a non-technical audience.Demonstrated ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.Willingness to travel up to 10%.
