Senior Data Analyst - Fixed Income Corporate Bonds

Our Team: Our Bloomberg New Issues Credit team is responsible for the timely and accurate publication of new bonds issued in the DACH region being brought to market. The team is responsible for developing automated pipelines for ingestion and publication of new issue data, enhancing our primary markets dataset, and finding opportunities to expand our data product offering through client engagement. Our New Issues team works closely with internal consumers of our data including the News, Evaluated Pricing, and Index teams. We also heavily collaborate with our counterparts in Product, Sales & Engineering.
The Role: As a Data Analyst in the Fixed Income Corporate Bond team you will play a critical role in ingesting and analysing data, handling workflow processes to solve client problems, and providing superior customer service. This may include monitoring industry events and executing upon a variety of projects aimed at improving the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of our data. Data Analysts also provide support for internal and external clients that consume the data so you will be required to collaborate with multiple teams across the firm, making the role diverse and providing an opportunity for continuous learning.
We’ll trust you to: Understand customer needs and markets to ensure data is fit for purpose, ready for use, and meets service level agreements (SLAs)Coordinate and implement fast-paced data annotation and related workflowsBalance the best of technical and product knowledge to implement solutions for customersCombine subject matter expertise and technical skills to generate insightsCollaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders from Engineering to Sales on product development and implementationImplement quality control strategies including development of quality control rulesProactively support customers by helping them interpret data and predicting their follow up questions/needsContribute to the creation of best practices and guidelines for governanceContribute to continuous improvement by generating ideas to improve our data products and/or associated processesTrain and mentor other team membersYou'll need to have:Minimum of 4 years of recent work experience in the financial services industry, focusing on Fixed Income marketsDemonstrated experience in data management, for example improving data quality, accuracy, efficiency or timelinessA proven track record of successful project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordinglyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work with multiple groups across reporting linesComfort with a high degree of autonomy, and shown ability in managing priorities from multiple internal and external partnersDemonstrated ability to take a logical approach and apply critical thinking skills in order to solve problems and pay close attention to detailThe ability to work independently & in a team environment under deadlines, demonstrating self-motivationDemonstrated continuous career growth within an organisationDemonstrated analytical and customer service skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
