Senior Data Analyst II
Overview Job Purpose • To offer a value-add service across our firm’s multiple business lines • To assist in the management of third party market data usage and distribution within the organization • To ensure market data is administered in accordance with licensing obligations of third party market data in addition to internal business rules and policies • To provide a proactive, forward-facing, service orientated group with a clear understanding of the value of the corporate strategic assets (“the data”) of which we are in effect the custodians • To implement a series of clearly defined best practices across all business lines and all product lines in order to support our global business in a timely, efficient & compliant way • To implement robust processes to support the sales cycle and the client on-boarding process while adhering to our core principals of source compliance & consistency The Market Data Operations Support team is responsible for liaising with clients, sources, and internal stakeholders to provide advice and guidance to ensure all internally mandated criteria are met. The candidate has a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, works well independently, achieves repeatable results, is knowledgeable of departmental and company responsibilities, and has a understanding of exchange/source policies as well as managing internal policies and procedures Duties and Responsibilities • Provide Analyze complex third-party market data source contracts, policy documents and price lists and present summarized, standardized documentation on distribution rights via information repositories and systems • Process source mandated changes to policies and pricing by updating documentation, maintaining internal systems and preparing materials to communicate changes both internally and externally to clients • Use knowledge of third-party data licensing rules to advise on third party source risk associated with new ICE Product launches or enhancements, work with Product groups to reduce risks and manage third-party source outreach for new product sign-off where relevant • Assess prospect customer use-cases that fall outside of ICE’s standardized and approved use-cases and approve on a case-by-case basis. • Review and resolve inquiries related to usage policies, pricing and billing issues, as well as entitlement system administration • Support the external audit defense team by providing distribution rights information, both current and historical. Assist with researching audit related inquiries. • Use third-party market data and ICE product knowledge to define and prioritize compliance related projects • Provide consultancy services to internal stakeholders in relation to exchange data • Communicate changes in source policies and pricing, offering a consultancy service (where appropriate) to guide clients and internal stakeholders through the changes to ensure that they understand the impact and to ensure that they take the appropriate action by the change’s effective date • Special projects and tasks as assigned • Collect, define, and document business/technical procedures as it relates to the system and applications that are used, both on the back-end and the GUI • Engage with all internal Stakeholders within the organization (technology, product management, sales, account management) teams in addition to the other Market Data Operation groups (Control, Reporting, Content) as you collaborate to achieve the organization’s shared goal Knowledge and Experience • College degree or equivalent industry experience • Experience in market data industry, including compliance and contract management background • Familiarity with real time, end-of-day and Non-Display use cases for Market Data • Ability to analyze complex policy data (contracts and policy documents, fee schedules, new rule announcements) to identify adjustments to current systems and processes • Exhibits a proactive nature and approach to learning, problem identification and resolution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in the standard Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access); knowledge of Microsoft Visio is a plus • Thoroughness, attention to detail and the ability to think and work both independently and within a team environment • Ability to learn new software applications and systems • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills • Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills are a must. Adept at creating and maintaining effective relationships through strong interpersonal skills Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
