Senior Data Analytics, Quant

Make your mark on recognizing and communicating meaningful trends/patterns in data and reporting, identifying and validating data sources, and advising business and technology partners on data-promoted opportunities to increase efficiency and improve customer experience.

As a Data Analytics Sr. Manager - Quant in our Home Lending team, you will be required to mix strategy, business analysis, and data science skills. You will be responsible for recognizing and communicating meaningful trends/patterns in data and reporting, identifying and validating data sources, and advising business and technology partners on data-promoten opportunities to increase efficiency and improve customer experience. This role will require you to interface proactively with other areas of the business and extract data from various sources using complex SQL queries. This is a fast-paced, competitive environment that requires a critical thinker who can maintain attention to detail and deliver results.

 Job Responsibilities:

Recognizes and communicates meaningful trends/patterns in data and reporting Identifies and validates data sources and serving as a data expert and consultant to the predictive modeling team Advises business and technology partners on data-driven opportunities to increase efficiency and improve customer experience  Interfaces proactively with, and gathering information from, other areas of the business (Operations, Technology, Finance, Marketing) Extracts data from various sources and technologies using complex SQL queries 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker that will thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and will mesh well with a team that prides itself on attention to detail and results Strong experience with SQL (query/procedure writing) Experience with at least one of the following versatile, cross-technology tools/languages - Python, SAS, R or Alteryx Critical and analytical thinking Strong Microsoft Excel skills Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities and projects Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to maintain detail focus and retain big picture perspective Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

3+ years experience working in a business analyst or similar role preferred Experience in Mortgage Banking or working with CRM data a plus but not required
