Business: Global Procurement

Principal responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders to mobilise manage requirements capture, design prototypes followed by transition to BAU ongoing product enhancements across Analytics AI use case. sIn a consultative manner, identify innovative and creative opportunities to develop data insights and maximize data usage to deliver strategic business outcomes and improve business performanceBe responsible for the BAU service delivery of the Procurement Data Analytics product across the data lifecycle i.e. data sourcing ingestion, data asset updates, analytical output generation ensuring system and service availability within agreed SLAsIdeate and implement a roadmap that increases resilience in BAU leveraging automated and proactive monitoring; responsible for clear communication to stakeholders when issues occur. Build out and own strong, trusted relationships with our senior business stakeholders and partners in IT the Data Architecture OfficeChallenge conventional thinking, provide outside-in perspectives lead ongoing research and application of the latest analytics technologies, to deliver cutting edge analytics solutions. Perform strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources, validating information, using judgment and statistical testsDevelop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardise data in order to generate actionable insights and address reporting needsDesign, develop and deploy cutting edge Qliksense dashboards, AI use cases and ad-hoc pieces of analytics that really wow our customers in terms of insight, visual appeal, ease of use Ensure all deliverables are thoroughly tested and validated before being released . Actively look for and drive collaboration with other HSBC analytics teams, breaking down silos and identifying opportunities to partner on initiatives and drive best practiceSupport enhancing our data and analytics strategy, provide data consultancy and manage small teams of developers and analysts to deliver a project

Computer Science, Data Analysis or similar education and work experience.Experience delivering data / analytics solutions using Agile with clearly demonstrable business outcomesExceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of the power and value of data with an ability to apply technology solutions to meet business needs and solve problems. Deep knowledge of the data and analytics delivery life cycle including demonstrable knowledge, experience credibility across advanced analytics / Data Science. Demonstrable experience of working in a data-related role; data analysis, architecture, data structures modelling, data governance with hands-on technical experience of using associated technologies.Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing principles. Strong knowledge of SQL, experience with Python a plus. Experience with data science, AI and Generative AI and an interest in up-skilling / building specialism in the future. Expertise and experience in data visualization. Flexibility to work on and learn various technologies. Experience with business tools like JIRA, Confluence. Self-starter demonstrating high energy levels, flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Ability to build and maintain advisory relationship with senior managers, gravitas to negotiate and challenge conventional thinking. Delivery and outcome focused, with ability to meet agreed deadlines and delivery high quality outputExcellent communication skills and comfortable working with senior management; ability to articulate data concepts, problem statements and solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Capable of developing subject matter expertise in complex areas and demonstrating a resourceful, creative and inquisitive approach to complex tasks. Demonstrate a passion for research and data, be proactive, take initiative and work independently
