THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Senior Data Architect, you will play a critical role in making sure our Data & Analytics data strategy is envisioned, designed, developed and implemented across the enterprise to support our strategic business goals. They are responsible for the definition, creation and maintenance of architecture artifacts for enterprise data solutions along with definition of Data Architecture processes across Data & Analytics. The Sr. Data Architect also brings extreme passion and advocacy to building a culture of data driven decision making through outstanding information management solutions. The Data Architect must be able to think holistically across the organization and communicate their vision to different levels of leadership. The Data Architect is expected to understand current and future architecture, reporting and warehousing technologies in order to architect forward-looking solutions for Enterprise Data and advanced analytics.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Communicate and collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Cybersecurity and other Tech teams to assure all system designs and changes to the data environments are in line with the long-term IT strategy and architectural standards.

Fully comfortable being hands-on with our data solution tools and providing end-to-end data solution designs (both high-level and low-level).

Work towards a data strategy that maximizes the value of data as an asset, along with a migration strategy from our current state to our future state architecture.

Leading and providing practical experience in the maturity of cloud-native data services such as but not limited to Azure, Snowflake, and DBT.

Responsible for definition, creation and maintenance of architecture artifacts of Enterprise Data solutions including data architecture, data flow diagrams, conceptual/logical data models, data dictionaries, and database design.

Provide leadership, oversight, and development execution of data architecture design and associated delivery.

Provide training and coaching to other team members on data architecture standards and best practices, along with the necessary governance to ensure such standards are upheld.

Investigating & analyzing data sources to identify relevant information for inclusion in our data solutions.

Own vendor relationships for our data solutions and stay informed on upcoming product releases.

Lead and own the Architecture Review Board committee and discussions.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or related discipline, or an equivalent in education and experience preferred.

8-10 years of in-depth, hands-on knowledge and execution of foundational data architectures such as data warehouses, data modeling, data mining, ETL, and in-memory models.

Sophisticated verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting to different levels of leadership.

Proven ability to influence and empower individuals and teams.

Proficient knowledge in modern data architecture that supports advanced analytics including Snowflake, Azure, etc.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to oversight and following instruction closely, while anticipating needs and developing efficiencies on repeat tasks.

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytics skill with the ability to work in a cross-functional team.

Quick self-motivated learner who can initiate and drive new data solutions and patterns in anticipation of management and client goals and objectives with little or no supervision.

Self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

Must be able to adapt to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment.

Expert knowledge of data modeling, documentation and governance tools and techniques.

Demonstrated human relation skills to effectively interact with peers, subordinates, internal and external customers and vendors.

Sophisticated analytical skills related to cost / benefit analysis of large dollar hardware and software implementations.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $145,000.00–$214,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
