Senior Data Center Technical Support Analyst
Job Description Project Overview: This project is a comprehensive IT infrastructure and security enhancement initiative. The client's goal is to bring this project completely in-house. Currently, it is managed by another company that has laid the groundwork. The client seeks to partner with this company and form a new team to take over and integrate the project fully. This will involve significant integration with other systems and applications, as well as collaboration with various third parties. The project consists of four components, with this being the first phase. Objectives:  Upgrade the organizations IT capabilities.  Ensure secure and efficient operations.  Support the integration and management of various enterprise architecture components. Responsibilities:  Evaluate and recommend vendor software packages; prepare specifications for modifications and customization.  Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and modification of vendor-supplied software for critical state business functions.  Design, develop, and install in-house software packages or modifications to vendor packages; consult with vendors on software/hardware issues.  Advise end-users, administrators, and technical support personnel on network design, documentation, problem analysis, and education.  Assist in establishing departmental policies for data definition, database design, implementation, operation, security, and accessibility.  Perform database planning and administration, establish standards and procedures, ensure security, and provide technical support.  Review and determine the feasibility of proposed database additions and modifications.  Install and customize software and hardware to support an extensive enterprise computer systems network.  Monitor network hardware resources through a network inventory system.  Design and implement a communications system for the enterprise network.  Consult with vendors on software and hardware used in managing the enterprise network.  Consult with users on network requirements and participation.  Monitor and evaluate the performance and efficiency of the enterprise network.  Manage configuration data on network software and hardware components.  Monitor all attached devices in a complex LAN environment, analyze performance, diagnose problems, and perform load balancing. Skills and Requirements Mandatory Expertise:  Experience with large-scale state Enterprise Architecture systems serving multiple governmental agencies.  Experience in an Enterprise Architecture environment with various components.  Familiarity with the integration of Enterprise Architecture components.  Understanding and experience with at least one of the following EA components or similar technologies: o IBM Decision Center, Decision Server: Business Rules Engine (BRE) o Software AG webMethods: Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) o Broadcom/Software AG API Gateway: Enterprise API Gateway Desirable Expertise:  At least six years of experience in large-scale Enterprise Architecture environments.  General understanding and experience with the following EA components or similar technologies: o Nutanix/Dell Nutanix: Hyper-converged computing o Dell VxRail: Hyper-converged computing o VMware ESXi, vCenter, NSX, SRM o Microsoft Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux o Microsoft MS SQL Server 2014: Enterprise Database/Storage Engine o Nagios: Infrastructure monitoring/alerting o NewRelic APM, Infrastructure, Browser: Application and infrastructure performance monitoring o Octopus Deploy: Continuous Deployment and Delivery o Puppet Enterprise: DevOps/Automation o Splunk: Operational Intelligence o Veracode: Static Code Analysis null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
