Senior Data Engineer
Description We are in search of a Senior Data Engineer in the education sector. The role is based in a city in Michigan, United States. The hired detail-oriented individual will be tasked with leading data and analytics architecture in a data-conscious environment, providing guidance to a team of Data Engineers and Visualization Developers. Responsibilities: • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of data and analytics for the organization's data ecosystem. • Ensure the final product meets user expectations while adhering to department and company standards. • Architect and implement new data models for use in corporate reporting and self-service environments. • Drive the creation of new data movement and data warehouse elements. • Develop and present new analytical measures and analyses that help measure the success of various departments and projects. • Monitor data quality and job processing to ensure the health of the SQL ecosystem. • Establish and enforce best practices in the Data and Analytics ecosystem. • Communicate across departments to ensure consistent data interpretation and application. • Manage various data projects and provide documentation, training, and support to the organization. • Ensure the highest level of data and architectural design and security standards are maintained. • Support the development of the Data and Analytic focus in the organization. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role. • Proficiency in Data Analytics is a must. • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is required. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps is necessary. • Knowledge of Azure Storage is expected. • Proficiency in Azure Data Lake is required. • Experience with SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) is necessary. • Competence in SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services is imperative. • Solid understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing (BI DW) is required. • Proficiency in Data Warehousing is essential.
