About the Data domain
The Data domain’s mission is to transform Trustly into a truly data-driven organization. We are responsible for every aspect of the data journey, from collection & modeling to analysis and visualization. We provide the whole organization with data and analytics artifacts aiming to improve our decisions, operations and the customer’s experience.
We are currently building a new Data Platform on AWS.
About the role
As Trustly is currently moving towards micro-services we have identified the need of a new data platform, a data hub to cater for operational data needs.
Together with the Data Platform team, you will actively participate in the implementation and the maintenance for this new data platform based on AWS. The goal is to design and build a strong and reliable data foundation that will initially support operational data exchanges and will gradually support our analytics and machine learning use cases.What you’ll do Design and develop Trustly’s Data Platform on AWSBuild and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines from internal as well as external data producersWork with transformations of data from one or multiple source systems to feed our downstream applicationsOptimize data processes for efficiency and scalabilityImplement data security measures and access controls to protect sensitive informationParticipate in data governance and compliance efforts to meet regulatory requirementsProvide technical expertise and guidance for critical data projectsContinuously optimize data architecture to support Trustly's evolving data needsHelp us identify new use-cases for our data and collaborate with stakeholders from the rest of the organization on how to realize thoseWho you areA Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar fieldAt least 7 years of experience as a data engineer/data architectProficient in designing and building complex data pipelines and data processing systemsExperienced with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redshift, MongoDB)Proficient in building stream processing systems using KafkaAccustomed of data governance principles, ensuring data quality, security, and complianceExperienced with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCPProficient in Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, S3, Hudi, Athena, Kubernetes and CI/CD processFamiliar with self-service reporting and machine learning use cases and their prerequisites in terms of data infrastructureThrive in a fast growing company
