We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate our data engineering teams. This role is pivotal in promoting accountability, ensuring quality, aligning scopes, and maintaining high velocity across data engineering squads.

Role can be performed in Raleigh, NC or Westlake, TX.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Serve as the focal point of team collaboration, promoting accountability for quality, scope alignment, and velocity across agile squads
• Synchronize with stakeholders to operate efficiently towards shared goals
• Manage the process of effective and timely resourcing of teams, including onboarding, knowledge transfer, and acclimation of team members to the environment and objectives
• Ensuring chapter talent composition and workforce planning aligns with strategic business priorities
• Supporting and empowering team members to enable delivery of increased value in their teams through continuous improvement and learning
• Enabling an agile and frictionless organization by demonstrating agile behaviors
• Escalate risks and issues (as needed) to the program level for executive discussion and resolution actions.
• Foster a positive team culture and maintain high morale among team members
• Measure performance through established objectives and KPI’s
• Align chapter members across squads and product areas to ensure the best utilization of talent
• Build learning opportunities and learning day content to develop associate skills
• Set and apply standards and ensure the work performed is aligned with established road maps
• Remove impediments to delivering value
• Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments across the organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven 15+ Years of experience in delivering projects on complex tech stacks. This includes managing the cross functional teams through strong communication skills, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration (stakeholder management), business analysis, presentation skills, influential ability, and an ability to make progress despite ambiguity.
• Proven experience in engineering large-scale enterprise applications end-to-end, with a focus on Data Engineering and Insights.
• Good understanding of Cloud/On-Premises Data Technologies – AWS/Azure, API Gateway, IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, Glue/EMR, S3, RDS Oracle/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake, CloudFormation/Terraform, Data Lake, Data Fabric, Service Mesh, Event-Driven Architecture, Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, etc.
• Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
• Flexible, growth-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $134,400 -$235,200.
